Objective
To observe and understand the structure of specific molecules listed within this lab.
To develop an understanding of their functions within the human body.

Reflection
Through this lab, I have learned what really occurs in the body when hydrolysis/dehydration synthesis occurs. I have learned that these two occurrences do the exact opposite of each other to the human body.
Dehydration synthesis is the removal of the (OH-) and the hydrogen atoms from two organic substances which merges them into one. (covalent bond)
Hydrolysis is the addition of water to break down the one molecule into two parts.
As we can see here, dehydration synthesis removes while hydrolysis adds water.
Due to this lab, I have learned the differences between dehydration synthesis and hydrolysis.
I have also observed and learned the difference between their structures, as we can see in my lab-findings above.
